How it works
Black Cohosh First contains standardized extracts of Black Cohosh (Cimicufuga racemosa).
It is a herb found in North Eastern United States and has been used by native Americans primarily for women's health. Based on many clinical studies it has been approved in Germany for treatment of hot flushes and profuse sweating in menopausal women. It contains Triterpene or Saponin compounds that serve as natural building blocks for Progesterone synthesis. It is the only compound that can cause a natural elevation of Progesterone. It also has a weak Oestrogenic action and binds with Oestrogen receptors to lower serum LH which is elevated in menopause. By maintaining the hormonal balance, it maintains the normal integrity and secretions of the vaginal lining in menopausal women.

Safety Issues
Approved by the German Federal Agency (equivalent to the FDA of USA) for use in menopause. Free of side effects.
